Counter-Strike: Source beta Next up is a beta version of Counter-Strike that's been ported to the new Source engine that will power, among other things, Half-Life 2. We recorded a demo of an online Counter-Strike match and used the game's built-in timedemo function to test performance. Again, the 6600 GT proves competitive with the Radeon 9800 XT and GeForce 6800 most of the time. Only at higher resolutions with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering enabled does it run slower than the $299 cards.
